Consultation

1:1 and group consulting for neurodivergent adults

We started our consulting work in the neurodivergent space when, after three years of research, we realised that most neurodivergent offerings:

  1. treat ADHD as a fixed box
  2. treat ADHD as a productivity deficit you need to make up for
  3. are made for children, or adapt solutions for children to adults
  4. have even less clue about adult Autism and how it can co-occur with ADHD
  5. have learned nothing of the massive scientific breakthroughs from the past two decades that have completely reshaped our understanding on neurodivergence

As a result, they either fall back to stereotypes, misinformation or oversimplification, or simply repackage methods that were created for neurotypical people 30, 50, or 80 years ago.

Neurotypical solutions will just not work for most neurodivergent people.

So doubling down on shaming language, self-discipline and a “just do it” mentality is not just ineffective, it’s downright harmful.

On the call, we’ll walk around the big neurodivergent buffet table of traits, and explore your question together, combining the latest neuroscience research and expert insights with practical learnings from our lived experience as neurodivergent adults and business owners.

What we will not do:

  • Nod silently with a condescending smile 😏
  • Judge your life 🙄
  • Force you into a diagnostic box 📦
  • Require you to “behave” (whatever that means)
  • Try to motivate you with generic encouragement phrases
  • Tap our watch at 45 minutes ⌚
  • Ask how that makes you feel 😖
  • Ask if you’ve tried trying harder
  • Ask if you’ve tried not being neurodivergent

Instead:

  • We prioritise our call to be a safe, non-judgmental space where you are allowed to be you
  • With our 75-minute flexible session format, we provide time for you to settle in, to context-switch, to process, even to go off on tangents and meander
  • We encourage stimming and fidgeting
  • We focus on your needs – balancing discovery, validation, and making sense of your experiences with practical strategies you can act on
  • We’re interested in traits you experience and how they affect you – regardless of diagnosis
  • We look at your traits not through labelled boxes but an inclusive, holistic neurodivergent perspective
  • We welcome and respect your sensory needs and do our best to accommodate them

our specialist areas

  • Support during the diagnostic pathway: guidance and action plans for adults awaiting ADHD or Autism assessment
  • Needs-based support: for people experiencing neurodivergent traits, irrespective of diagnosis
  • “Now what?” Post-assessment support: navigating grief, joy, confusion & overwhelm — the emotional and practical impact of a new diagnosis
  • Co-occurring conditions and multiple diagnoses, including anxiety, PMDD, OCD, sensory sensitivities and more
  • Inclusive support: for LGBTQ+, minority, and immigrant backgrounds, including English as a Second Language speakers
  • Self-employment and business: managing work and business as a neurodivergent adult

1:1 Online Consulting

In our consulting sessions, we focus on what matters to you – your individual strengths, needs, and goals. No shaming, no blaming, no labelling. Bring your questions, worries, foggy unknowns and fuzzy plans, and we’ll figure things out together.

We always start with a Curiosity Call – a 40-minute affordable video session, so you can be sure we are the right fit for you. 🙂

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

  • practical strategies and action steps you can take to move forward
  • vetted and trusted recommendations for resources to further your knowledge
  • and if we believe that we can help you further, we’ll present you with ways we can act as your guide on this journey of neurodivergence.
